The PortaSCC rapid test provides an estimate of the cell count in the milk and can be used anywhere. The milk quality test is also permitted in the milk tank for checking for:

• A group of cows
• Problem cows or relatives
• Operation of the test

The PortaSCC rapid test was developed for estimating the cell count in cows. This test uses the same proven technology as the PortaSCC milk test.

The PortaSCC rapid test is based on a chemical reaction between the dye on the test strip and an enzyme that is found on the cells in the milk. This reaction causes the test strip to change to a blue color. The darker the blue color, the higher the number of cells.

Instructions

• Add 4 drops of fresh milk to the test strip
• Add 4 drops of activation solution
• Compare the color with the color chart after 5 minutes
